How to Distinguish Microsoft Windows 32-bit to 64-bit.

The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer processor (also called a CPU), handles information. 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit version.

Microsoft Windows has released various versions to adapt to the rapid development of hardware, this is certainly so that the operating system can handle the hardware performance. • Using System Properties

1. Click the "Start" menu and click on the Windows "Run" command box and it will appear. Type "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter until the System Properties dialog box.
2. Click the "General" tab. You will see information about your operating system.
3. If you have a computer that runs on 64-bit system, then you will see the words "Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Version" under "System".
4. If the computer is running a 32-bit system, then you will only see "Windows XP" (home or professional) under "System".
5. Close the dialog box "System Properties".

• Using the System Information window

1. Click the "Start" menu of Windows, click "Run" to launch the command box.
2. Type "winmsd.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter until the System Information window
3. Click the "System Summary" in the navigation pane and locate the "Processor" under "Item" in detail.
4. If the value starts with x86 processor, then your computer running 32-bit versions
5. If the value processor starts with ia64 or AMD64, the computer system you are running on Windows 64-bit.
6. Close the System Information window.

Not easy to distinguish the way Windows 32-bit with 64-bit, Hopefully useful.
